McCaul, Rogers Statement on North Korea’s Recent Weapons Testing

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on March 25, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, DC - House Foreign Affairs Lead Republican Michael McCaul (R-TX) and House Armed Services Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-AL) released the following statement on the recent weapons testing developments in North Korea.

“North Korea’s decision to resume military provocations through weapons testing is unsurprising, but still disappointing. The Kim regime’s return to belligerence will only further alienate them from the world, and destroy the last shreds of a historic chance to secure a brighter future for the people of North Korea. The United States will not be intimidated by North Korea’s nuclear aggression. We will remain appropriately postured to respond in lockstep with our allies the Republic of Korea and Japan and committed to their extended deterrence, and we will continue to work for the denuclearization of North Korea.".
