WASHINGTON - Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., issued the following statement Thursday urging House passage of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act: “Now that the Senate has adopted the FISA legislation with overwhelming support, I urge the House to pass this critical bi-partisan measure. Our nation continues to face terrorist threats, and it is imperative that we remain vigilant and encourage private sector cooperation with our government’s intelligence efforts. We need a strong FISA bill without any further delay."
