WASHINGTON - Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, had this to say following President Trump’s nomination of Elaine Duke to be deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security:

“Elaine Duke’s dedicated service to the Department of Homeland Security under the last two presidents is valuable preparation to be the department’s deputy secretary. I look forward to learning more about Ms. Duke’s views on the critical issues facing the department and promptly considering her nomination."
