WASHINGTON - House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott announced the following additions to the Democratic staff of the House Agriculture Committee.
Katherine Stewart will serve as the Subcommittee Staff Director for the Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations Subcommittee. Stewart comes to the Committee from Vice Chair Rep. Alma Adams’ office where she served as Legislative Director. She is a native South Carolinian and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
Detrick Manning will take on the role of Press Secretary for the Committee. Most recently, Manning served as Communications Deputy for Mayor Robert Garcia of Long Beach, California. Detrick attended Whittier College, where he studied Political Science with a concentration in international relations. Manning had previously served as a Social Media Intern for The Trevor Project in Washington, DC, and is a native of Baltimore.
