The following media note was published by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs on Sept. 30, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

The U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce the public opening of the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on Oct. 1, 2021. Celebrating “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Future," the USA Pavilion features over 275 U.S. cultural performers and speakers; a moon rock, Martian meteorite, and Mars rover prototype; and a replica of a Space X rocket. The Pavilion also features an immersive media show that explores American technological innovation in fields including the democratization of space, quantum computing, sustainable energy, and more, all presented by 75 Youth Ambassadors from across the United States.

Over the course of six months, the USA Pavilion will contribute to a global discussion at Expo 2020 Dubai’s ten theme weeks: climate and biodiversity, space, urban and rural development, tolerance and inclusivity, knowledge and learning, travel and connectivity, global goals, health and wellness, food and agriculture, and water.

Led by Commissioner General Robert “Bob" Clark, the Pavilion celebrates the American people, ideas, and contributions that have changed and improved lives in the United States and around the world. The Pavilion will also welcome American business and state government delegations highlighting commercial and economic opportunities.
