The Department oversees energy policies and is involved in how the US handles nuclear programs. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department's misguided energy regulations have caused large losses to consumers for decades.

Following disposition of the nomination of Alex Wagner, Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to consideration of H.R. 3967, Honoring our PACT Act.
At 4 p.m., Senate will vote on confirmation of the nominations of Chavonda J. Jacobs-Young, of Georgia, to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics, Kenneth L. Wainstein, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, Department of Homeland Security, and Shalanda H.
