The following press release was published by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on March 30, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

HAMMOND, Ind. - An Indiana man remains in federal custody following a March 19 federal grand jury indictment alleging he transported a 15-year old minor to engage in prostitution.

This indictment resulted from an ongoing investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Ronnie Cosby, 39, of Hammond, Indiana, is charged with one count of transporting a minor to engage in prostitution. Cosby appeared in court March 30 for his arraignment. Court records allege Cosby committed the crime in February, transporting the child from Indiana to Illinois.

Anyone with information about this investigation or Ronnie Cosby is urged to contact the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or submit online.

An indictment is merely an allegation and not proof of guilt. All persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court. If convicted in court, any specific sentence will be determined by the judge, after a consideration of the federal sentencing statutes and federal sentencing guidelines.
