United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that on April 9, 2013, Kenneth Caldwell, 29, of Lincoln, was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in prison for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine between January of 2010 and September, 2012. Caldwell’s sentence was ordered to be run concurrently with a state sentence of 20-40 months imposed on Feb. 1, 2012, in Lancaster County District Court. Following the prison term, Caldwell will serve five years on supervised release. Caldwell was held responsible for the distribution of at least 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Lincoln area.
The matter was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which includes officers of the Lincoln Police Department, the Lancaster County Sheriff=s Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department.
