New Jersey Man Sentenced For Child Exploitation

PHILADELPHIA - Patrick Mergen, 40, of Sewell, NJ, was sentenced yesterday to 25 years in prison for using a child to produce child pornography. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 20, 2012. In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Court Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg ordered 10 years of supervised release, computer monitoring, no unsupervised contact with minors, and sex counseling.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Levy.
