Man Charged With Illegal Reentry After Deportation

Ascencion Sandoval-Aparicio, a/k/a "Acension Sanjoval," 39, of Mexico, was charged today by indictment with one count of illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about March 8, 2013, Sandovai-Aparicio, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about Feb. 20, 1998, Aug. 19, 2011, Oct. 13, 2011, Feb. 14,2012, May 18, 2012 and Sept. 2, 2012.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of two years.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations ("ERO") and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joseph J. Khan.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
