Maryland Resident Enters Plea To Failure To Update Sex Offender Registration

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 36-year old Baltimore, Maryland, resident entered a plea of guilty on April 16, 2013, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: TIMOTHY WAYNE WALDEN entered a plea of guilty to “Failure to Update Sex Offender Registration." From Nov. 12, 2012, to Jan. 17, 2013, in Bayard, West Virginia, WALDEN knowingly failed to update a registration pursuant to the Sex Offender Notification Act. WALDEN, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

These cases was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan and were investigated by the United States Marshals Service.
