United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a McLaughlin, South Dakota, woman convicted of Larceny was sentenced on Dec. 30, 2013, by U.S. District Judge Charles B. Kornmann.
Tabitha Good House, age 27, was sentenced to 5 years of unsupervised probation, $16,761 in restitution, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
Good House was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 17, 2013. She pled guilty on October 7, 2013.
The conviction stems from incidents occurring between Dec. 1, 2012, and March 25, 2013, when Good House, who was employed by KLND Radio Station in McLaughlin, forged the signature of station board members and negotiated several checks, knowing she was not entitled to the monies to which she received. The total amount of the checks was $16,761.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Troy R. Morley prosecuted the case.
