The United States Attorney's Office today announced that during a federal court session in Great Falls, Montana, on Jan. 14, 2014, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Strong, the following individual appeared:
* DAVID J. LEWIS, a 50 year-old resident of Brockton made an initial appearance on a complaint alleging second degree murder. He is currently detained. If formally charged with this offense by indictment, LEWIS, faces life in prison, $250,000 in fines and 5 years supervised release.. Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura B. Weiss is the prosecutor for the United States. The investigation is a cooperative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice.
