Whitt was sentenced to 51 months in prison, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release, a $100 special assessment, and a fine of $500, following his plea of guilty, on Nov. 18, 2013. The charges relate to an incident that occurred on March 17, 2013, in Brooklyn, Illinois, when Whitt, driving erratically, was stopped by a Brooklyn police officer, who then found a 9mm. The sentencing judge also ordered forfeiture of the firearm.
