Charleston, W.Va. - Chad Randall Davis, 20, of Chapmanville, Logan County, West Virginia, was sentenced today to six months in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine, United States Attorney Booth Goodwin announced. Davis previously pleaded guilty in January 2014, admitting that he sold methamphetamine to what proved to be a confidential informant working with the U.S. 119 Drug Task Force. The drug sale occurred at Davis’ Chapmanville residence on Nov. 16, 2012. Davis was arrested on Jan. 21, 2013, and provided a statement to law enforcement admitting he sold approximately $3000 worth of methamphetamine during the three- to four-month period prior to his arrest.
United States District Judge John T. Copenhaver, Jr., imposed today’s sentence, which includes a three-year term of supervised release following Davis’ prison term.
