CHARLESTON, W.Va. - United States Attorney Booth Goodwin announced today that Troy Lawrence, 45, of Charleston, West Virginia, pleaded guilty in federal court in Charleston to aggravated identify theft. Lawrence admitted that he used a dead person’s name and driver’s license to purchase pseudoephedrine from a Rite Aid store in Charleston. Lawrence faces a mandatory two years’ imprisonment when he is sentenced on Nov. 13, 2014.
This case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
