Philadelphia Resident Charged With Illegal Reentry

Jose Guadalupe Pacheco-Ramirez, a/k/a “Jose Ramirez," 39, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about July 21, 2014, Pacheco-Ramirez, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about May 24, 2005 and Aug. 24, 2010.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO"), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrea Foulkes.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
