Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Today, JEREMY DAVID EADES, 28, most recently of Minot, North Dakota, pled guilty to producing child pornography and was sentenced to serve 45 years in federal prison, announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.
At a hearing today in Oklahoma City, Eades pled guilty to producing child pornography in Pottawatomie County on Nov. 29, 2012, using a 4-year-old child. During the same hearing, United States District Court Judge Robin Cauthron sentenced Eades to serve 45 years in prison, followed by 20 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender the rest of his life. Eades faced a heightened federal penalty due to a 2004 Oklahoma state court conviction for committing lewd acts with a child. Eades also had 2009 state conviction for failure to register as a sex offender. He was apprehended in Minot, North Dakota, on Jan. 13, 2013, where he had traveled shortly after producing the child pornography in Pottawatomie County.
This case is the result of an investigation by ICE Homeland Security Investigations, the Minot North Dakota Police Department, the United States Marshals Service, and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Brandon Hale and Mark Yancey.
