Native Of Mexico Charged With Illegal Reentry

Felix Zeferino-Carranza, a/k/a “Felix Lopez Carranza," 33, of Norristown, PA, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about Aug. 23, 2014, Zeferino-Carranza, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about April 18, 2009, July 3, 2009, and July 5, 2009.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of two years imprisonment.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO"), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank R. Costello, Jr.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
