ALEXANDRIA, La. -United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley announced today that a California man pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender after traveling to Alexandria.

Tyrone Bradshaw, 49, of Los Angeles, Calif., pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Dee D. Drell to one count of failure to register as a sex offender. According to evidence presented at the guilty plea, Bradshaw traveled by bus to Alexandria on Aug. 1, 2012. Bradshaw faces up to 10 years in prison, five years to life supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. A sentencing date of Feb. 26, 2015 was set.

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Alexandria Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael O’Mara is prosecuting the case.
