Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles E. Moynihan, who is handling the case, stated that according to the complaint, on April 10, 2015, the defendant robbed the Chase Bank on Rochester Street in Scottsville, NY. The defendant approached the teller window and demanded the teller “put 50’s and 100’s up on the counter." Knox also told the teller to hurry. The defendant fled on foot with a specific amount of money.
The defendant was arrested on April 14, 2015 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and will be returned to the Western District of New York at a later date.
The criminal complaint is the culmination of an investigation by the Rochester Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
