United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that on Aug. 14, 2015, United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Adrian Montoya Carlos, 34, to 126 months imprisonment, following his conviction for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and 76 months imprisonment for his conviction of illegal possession of a firearm, those sentences are to be served concurrently. After his release from prison, Carlos will serve 5 years on supervised release.
In September of 2014, Adrian Montoya Carlos delivered a pound of methamphetamine to a police informant. Moments after the delivery, police arrested Carlos and searched his vehicle where they found a semi-automatic handgun with 8 rounds of ammunition.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln Police Department.
