Hattiesburg, Miss - Joshua Herron, 29 of Arkansas, was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett to serve 10 years in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for possession of child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis and FBI Special Agent in Charge Donald Alway.
Herron was found to be in possession of child pornography while on supervised release from a previous child pornography conviction. He was serving in the National Guard at Camp Shelby when he was first indicted and convicted for possession of child pornography in February, 2010. He was released from prison on Aug. 2, 2013 and placed on supervised release which was later revoked when he was found to be in possession of images of child pornography again.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Glenda R. Haynes.
