Bath Man Sentenced to Three Years for Being a Felon in Possession of Firearms

Portland, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced today that Johnny Ray Johnson, 58, of Wiscasset, Maine was sentenced today by in U.S. District Court by Chief Judge Nancy Torresen to three years in prison and three years of supervised release for being a felon in possession of firearms. He pled guilty on July 14, 2015.

According to court documents, on Oct. 13, 2013, while Johnson was on probation for a 2013 felony domestic assault conviction in Maine state court, his probation officers conducted a home visit and found him in possession of three firearms.

The investigation was conducted by the Maine Probation and Parole Office; the Bath Police Department; and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
