PHILADELPHIA - Donald Frey, 31, of Easton, Pennsylvania, was charged yesterday by Indictment with one count of possession of destructive devices, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger and Northampton County District Attorney John M. Morganelli. The defendant is alleged to have knowingly possessed two destructive devices, specifically two pipe bombs, on Jan. 10, 2014, in Lower Saucon Township, in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
If convicted, defendant Frey faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, a possible fine, and a $100 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives,, the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, and the Lower Saucon Township Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Kelly Lewis Fallenstein.
An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
