Lancaster Resident Charged With Illegal Reentry

Filimon Mendez-Perez," a/k/a “Alfredo Lopez-Perez," 34, of Lancaster, PA, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about Feb. 25, 2016, Mendez-Perez, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about December 7, 2009, June 2, 2010, and July 30, 2011.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of ten years.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO"), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Roberta Benjamin.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
