Alicia A.G. Limtiaco, United States Attorney for the Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI), was invited to be the honorary guest speaker at the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony and 1st National Patriot Day & National Service and Remembrance Day, which was held at the Guam Community College on Sept. 11, 2016, and hosted by the Guam Community College Veterans Club (GCCVC) and AmeriCorps.
U.S. Attorney Limtiaco spoke about the events of Sept. 11, 2001 remaining forever engrained and deeply rooted in our memories and in our national consciousness, and honoring the many heroes and paying tribute to the survivors and to the family members of those whose lives were lost. She spoke about the true patriotism these men and women displayed in the face of unconscionable and horrific violence, death and destruction.
U.S. Attorney Limtiaco thanked the veterans and service members for their unwavering commitment and service to ensuring our nation’s security and protecting our freedoms, and for inspiring us to persevere, even in the darkest of times, in our pursuit of freedom and justice for all.
