United States Attorney, Deborah R. Gilg, announced that on Dec. 21, 2016, Mykael Thomas Pierce, also known as Michael Thomas Pope, 47, of Lincoln, was sentenced to 11 years and eight months, (140 months), in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine between January of 2013, and July of 2015. Information obtained by law enforcement indicated that Pierce was responsible for the distribution of at least 500 grams, (approximately 18 ounces) of methamphetamine during that time. Pierce was contacted by Lincoln Police officers on four occasions between January and July of 2015, and on each occasion, he was found in possession of small amounts of methamphetamine.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
