MADISON, WIS. - Jeffrey M. Anderson, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that DeWight Williams, 39, Milwaukee, Wis., was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 72 months in federal prison for conspiring to distribute heroin. On Dec. 2, 2016, Williams pled guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin with Charles Hall, 32, Hurley Jackson, 34, and Terrance Jackson, 31, also of Milwaukee. These individuals distributed heroin in Portage, Waupaca, and Wood Counties.
Hall and Terrance Jackson also pled guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin. On Jan. 26, 2017, after a three-day jury trial in federal court in Madison, Hurley Jackson was found guilty of conspiring to distribute more than 1,000 grams of heroin and with distributing heroin. Hurley Jackson’s sentencing is scheduled for May 16, 2017.
Charles Hall, Hurley Jackson, and Terrance Jackson are brothers.
The Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation leading to these convictions. The prosecution of these cases is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy M. O’Shea.
