Central Wisconsin Heroin Distributor Sentenced to 20 Years

MADISON, WIS. - Jeffrey M. Anderson, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Hurley Jackson, 34, Milwaukee, Wis., was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to three concurrent 20-year prison terms for conspiring to distribute heroin, possessing heroin with the intent to distribute, and distributing heroin.

Jackson was found guilty of these offenses on Jan. 26, 2017, after a three-day trial in federal court in Madison. Hurley Jackson was convicted of conspiring with his siblings, Charles Hall, 32, and Terrance Jackson, 31, as well as with DeWight Williams, 39, all of Milwaukee. These four individuals distributed heroin in Portage, Waupaca, and Wood Counties from December 2013 through August 2015.

Hall, Williams, and Terrance Jackson all pled guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin. For their roles in the conspiracy, Judge Conley sentenced Hall to eight years in prison, Williams to six years in prison, and Terrance Jackson to 15 years in prison.

The Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation leading to these convictions. Prosecution of these cases was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy M. O’Shea.
