For Being A Felon in Possession and Armed Career Criminal
FORT WAYNE - Tyrone M. Wright, 41, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced before Chief Judge Theresa L. Springmann on his plea of guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Thomas L. Kirsch II.
Wright was sentenced to 180 months imprisonment and 2 years of supervised release.
According to documents in this case, on March 25, 2015, Wright possessed a firearm after prior felony offenses. Wright was convicted of serious drug offenses or violent felonies in Allen County Superior Court on or about Sept. 24, 2007, and Jan. 3, 2001 and St. Joseph County Superior Court on Feb. 10, 1994. These three felonies qualify him for Armed Career Criminal status with a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison
