RICHMOND, Va. - A Glen Allen man was sentenced today to over nine years in prison for distributing almost 400 grams of heroin and fentanyl in the central Virginia area.
According to court documents, Paris Moore, 32, pleaded guilty on August 22 to two counts of distribution of heroin. Moore’s charges stem from his distribution of drugs to a confidential informant on two separate occasions while on federal supervised release. On Jan. 19, Moore distributed 3.65 grams of a mixture of heroin and fluoroisobutyryl fentanyl to a confidential informant in Henrico County. On Jan. 26, Moore distributed 6.36 grams of a mixture of heroin and cyclopropylfentanyl to a confidential informant in Richmond. On Feb. 22, DEA agents executed a search warrant at Moore’s residence in Glen Allen and recovered 2.43 grams of crack cocaine and.88 grams of heroin and 4-fluoroisobutryl fentanyl.
G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Scott W. Hoernke, Acting Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Washington Field Division, made the announcement after sentencing by Senior U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erik S. Siebert prosecuted the case.
