Florida Man Sentenced In Cocaine Case

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Josue Vega, 37, of Kissimmee, Florida, who was convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, was sentenced to serve 18 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn Hartford, who is handling the case, stated that on June 2, 2017, and June 15, 2017, the defendant sold 93 grams of cocaine in Rochester. Subsequently, on Aug. 2, 2017, Vega was observed obtaining 31 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute it to others.

The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Ray Donovan, New York Field Division. #
