Lake Charles man sentenced to 57 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine

LAKE CHARLES, La. - United States Attorney David C. Joseph announced that Paul Loudin, 40, of Lake Charles, was sentenced Monday to four years and nine months in prison by U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter for distribution of methamphetamine.

Law enforcement agents executed a search warrant on March 14, 2017 at Loudin’s home in Lake Charles and found approximately 586 grams of methamphetamine and 728 ecstasy pills. Loudin admitted during his guilty plea on Dec. 14, 2018 that he was aware the drugs were located at his residence and that he intended to distribute them.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Combine Anti-Drug Task Force conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dominic Rossetti is prosecuting the case.
