MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - Derrick Hough, of Charles Town, West Virginia, has admitted to drug distribution, U.S. Attorney Bill Powell announced.
Hough, age 27, pled guilty to one count of “Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Heroin, Cocaine Hydrochloride and Cocaine Base." Hough admitted to working with others to distribute heroin, cocaine hydrochloride, and cocaine base from February 2019 to June 2019 in Berkeley County and elsewhere.
Hough faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey A. Finucane is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration investigated.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided.
