COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - A Council Bluffs man, Dylan Michael Joseph Hoffman, age 30, was sentenced on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, by United States District Court Judge Stephanie M. Rose to 63 months in prison for Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. His term of imprisonment will be followed with three years of supervised release. According to court documents, Hoffman pleaded guilty to the offense in March of 2021.
Acting United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. The Council Bluffs Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.
