Republicans Motion to Adjourn Adopted, Only Two Democrats Show Up at Committee’s Seventh Climate Hearing

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Natural Resources on Feb. 26, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations adopted a motion to adjourn today’s 2:00pm hearing after a motion by Republican members secured a majority of votes. The hearing was properly adjourned as the subject matter and witness’ written testimonies were well outside of Committee jurisdiction. Committee Democrats have held numerous hearings outside the bounds of the Committee’s jurisdiction and continue to neglect serious policy matters within the Committee’s jurisdiction.
