Public notices: State Department publishes 6 in July

There were six notices published by the State Department in July, according to the Federal Register.

The most recent notice, Notice of Determinations; Additional Culturally Significant Objects Being Imported for Exhibition-Determinations: “Meret Oppenheim: My Exhibition” Exhibition, was submitted on July 22, 2022.

The State Department published six the month before, unchanged for the current month.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
