Robert J. Quint Named Director of Operations, Washington

Robert J. Quint was named today as Director of Operations, Washington by Reclamation's Acting Commissioner Bill Rinne.

In this position, Quint provides direction, management, and coordination of the International Affairs Office, Native American Affairs Office, and Regional Liaison Group. Quint also assists the Deputy Commissioner Operations with program coordination among regional and area offices and addressing the resolution of major operational issues.

"Bob brings a tremendous amount of experience to this position, including work on international issues," said Rinne. "His operational experience will be a great asset to the operations staff and Reclamation."

Quint began his career with Reclamation as a civil engineer in 1978 where he worked in Denver, Colo. and Boulder City, Nev. Quint came to Washington, D.C. in 1996, where he has served as a Regional Liaison Officer and Reclamation's Chief of Staff. Quint also spent a year in Iraq in 2005 as Senior Consultant to the Ministry of Water Resources.

Quint is a 1978 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
