Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for the Cantua Creek Stream Group Improvement Project

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Cantua Creek Stream Group Improvement Project.

Reclamation proposes to provide partial funding to the California Department of Water Resources to create storage in the ponding basins adjacent to the San Luis Canal segment of the California Aqueduct, located in Fresno County. The Project would provide protection to the canal from flooding and sediment deposition.

The Draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=23517. If you encounter problems accessing the document, please call 916-978-5100 or email mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
