Reclamation Releases Environmental Document on the Garden Highway Mutual Water Company 2015 System Modernization and Real-Time Monitoring and Control

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

- The Bureau of Reclamation has prepared for public review an Environmental Assessment for system modernization and real-time monitoring and control for a

project by the Garden Highway Mutual Water Company (Company).

Reclamation proposes to provide the Company with CALFED Water Use Efficiency Grant funds to modernize the SAG Weir; integrate a

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system; and use real-time flow measurement, monitoring, and control of system flows. The proposed project would

conserve water by reducing operational spillage and tailwater through a combination of infrastructure improvements and implementation of real-time flow

monitoring and diversion control.

The EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=25837. If you
