HEYBURN, Idaho - The Bureau of Reclamation will increase flows from Jackson Lake Dam above the winter flow of 300 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs) to approximately 650 cfs tomorrow, March 9, and again to 1,000 cfs on Friday, March 10. Additional increases from Jackson Lake Dam are likely in the coming weeks. Flood control discharges continue at Palisades Dam, and more increases are likely next week.
These flows are necessary due to above-average snowpack and winter precipitation in the watershed and will help reduce the risk of flooding later this spring.

Jackson Lake and Palisades dams are operated by Reclamation’s Upper Snake Field Office and are located on the Snake River in south central Idaho.
