FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact on the proposed execution of the interim renewal contracts with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the cities of Avenal, Coalinga, and Huron.
Interim renewal contracts are executed under the authority of the Central
Valley Project Improvement Act to provide a bridge between the expiration
of the original long-term water service contracts and long-term renewal of
those contracts. Each of the interim renewal contracts will be renewed for
a two year period, beginning March 1, 2017.
The Final EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National
Environmental Policy Act, and are available at
