SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to grant $186,167 to Contra Costa Resource Conservation District to implement recovery actions for the California red-legged frog and California tiger salamander through the Central Valley Project Improvement Act Habitat Restoration Program.
The project is located on rangeland within the Morgan Territory Regional Preserve located in Contra Costa County. The district would use the funding to rehabilitate five existing livestock ponds, repair a 1,800 foot section of an earthen access road and stabilize a gully.
Reclamation prepared an environmental assessment for public review. The assessment was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?project_ID=%2026724.
