Boulder City, Nev. - The Bureau of Reclamation issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Final Environmental Assessment (EA) today for the Planet Ranch Conservation Area. The EA details Reclamation’s proposed development and management of a portion of Planet Ranch in northwestern Arizona for the conservation of species covered under the agency’s Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP). ). The FONSI documents that implementation of the Proposed Action will not have a significant impact to any of the resources evaluated in the EA.

The LCR MSCP is a 50-year multi-stakeholder Federal and non-Federal partnership that was created to balance the use of Lower Colorado River water resources with the conservation of native species and their habitats in compliance with the Endangered Species Act.

The FONSI and EA, which was prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, is available on Reclamation’s website at: www.usbr.gov/lc/region/g2000/envdocs.html.
