Reclamation releases final environmental documents for six San Luis Unit Central Valley Project interim renewal contracts

The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on March 21, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for six San Luis Unit, Central Valley Project Interim Renewal Contracts for the Westlands Water District.

The contracts covered by the documents include Westlands primary contract and five contract assignments, one of which involves an agreement among Westlands, Santa Clara Valley Water District, and Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency.

Interim renewal contracts provide a bridge between the expiration of the original long-term water service contracts and the long-term renewal of those contracts, consistent with the Central Valley Program Improvement Act. Each of the interim renewal contracts were renewed for a two-year period beginning March 1, 2018.

The documents are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=30701.

For additional information or to request a copy of the documents, please contact Kate Connor at 559-487-5116 (TTY 877-8339).
