Reclamation releases final environmental documents for San Luis and Grassland water districts’ refuge water exchange

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation released final environmental documents on entering into an agreement with San Luis and Grassland water districts to provide additional Level 4 water to south of Delta refuges in exchange for Level 2 water. The proposed agreement is five years from the date of execution and may be extended to 25 years.

The action would further Refuge Water Supply Program goals and objectives by improving refuge water availability south of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.

The Water Exchange Agreement with San Luis and Grassland Water Districts Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact, prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=32501.
