Reclamation releases environmental document for city of Sanger SCADA upgrade project

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review, draft environmental documents for a WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Project grant to the city of Sanger in Fresno County.

The $75,000 grant will be used to upgrade the city’s water measurement hardware at nine wells throughout the city to improve water management and conserve water. The project will modernize flow meters and install programmable logic computers and associated digital communications equipment to improve the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of the city’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (or SCADA) system.

The Environmental Assessment was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=33161.
