Reclamation releases draft environmental document for South Tahoe Public Utility District water delivery upgrade

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to grant South Tahoe Public Utilities District $75,000 for its Pressure Reducing Valve Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Upgrades Project through a CALFED Water Use Efficiency Grant.

Construction involves installing monitoring equipment at 19 pressure reducing valve stations. Monitoring equipment includes digital flow meters, digital suction and discharge pressure gauges, off-grid power supply, and modification or replacement of existing vault structure and valves where needed.

Reclamation prepared an environmental assessment in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=33841.
