SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation is proposing to charge and retain fees for day use and boat launch at Capell Cove Boat Launch, Oak Shores and Smittle Creek Day Use Areas located at Lake Berryessa. The proposed fees would be used to improve local facilities, provide increased visitor services and protect natural resources. Special recreation event authorization fees and shade shelter reservations fees are also proposed.

Reclamation is seeking comments and suggestions on the proposed fees. Public comments are being accepted through Jan. 21, 2019. Public meetings will be held soon to gather input as well. The Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, or FLREA, authorizes federal agencies and bureaus to participate in a fee collection and retention program, issue special recreation use permits and participate in the nationwide parks pass initiative known as the Federal Interagency Pass Program.
